Overview

Screenvibing is a Chrome extension that lets you capture screenshots from any website and send them directly to AI chat platforms (ChatGPT and Claude). We are committed to your privacy and designed the extension to work entirely within your browser.

Data We Collect

None. Screenvibing does not collect, store, transmit, or share any personal data or user information.

How Screenshots Are Handled

• Screenshots are captured locally in your browser using Chrome's built-in APIs.
• Screenshots are held temporarily in browser memory only while you are actively using the extension.
• Screenshots are pasted directly into the AI chat tab you choose (ChatGPT or Claude).
• Screenshots are never sent to any external server, third-party service, or analytics platform.
• Once sent to your chosen AI chat, the screenshot is cleared from the extension's memory.

Permissions Explained

• activeTab: Required to capture a screenshot of the currently visible tab when you click the extension icon.
• tabs: Required to find existing ChatGPT or Claude tabs, or open new ones when sending a screenshot.
• scripting: Required to inject the region selector overlay and to paste the screenshot into AI chat pages.
• host_permissions (all URLs): Required so you can capture screenshots from any website you visit and send them to AI chat tabs.

Third-Party Services

Screenvibing does not integrate with, send data to, or receive data from any third-party services, analytics platforms, or advertising networks.

Data Retention

Since no data is collected, there is nothing to retain. Screenshots exist only in your browser's memory during active use and are automatically cleared.

Changes to This Policy

If we make changes to this privacy policy, we will update the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the extension after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
